Heather, the founder and lead hair and makeup artist, prioritizes understanding each person's unique beauty needs when initially meeting them. A fundamental aspect of the Soul Beauti mission is to ensure that each client feels like a naturally enhanced version of themselves, all while receiving care from skilled beauty professionals.

Professional Experience
Heather's journey in the beauty industry began at 15 when she worked at local Drug Mart beauty counter. This experience allowed her to observe the evolution of the beauty industry and influence of the digital landscape. At the time, she immersed herself in brands like Biotherm, Lise Watier, and Lancôme.
After graduating from Artists Within Makeup Academy in 2008, Heather launched her first freelance business, ‘Allure,’ at 19, during a time when resources for aspiring artists in Calgary were scarce. Her passion for bridal hair and makeup artistry grew with the founding of ‘Obsidian Artistry.’ Despite facing challenges such as losing her hair partner and the effects of COVID-19, Heather has remained committed to the beauty industry by launching Soul Beauti, a community aimed at providing mental health-focused beauty education for all ages, while also providing mobile bridal hair and makeup services.

Heather’s makeup artistry style leans toward a naturally enhanced look, focused on individual beauty preferences, creating customized skin textures and finishes, while also accommodating full glam applications upon request.
She takes a detailed approach to individual vision, ensuring that suitable products and techniques are used to achieve each desired result. Her hair artistry style typically features voluminous curls arranged to create romantic, timeless looks. Sanitation is also top priority in her craft, ensuring the use of disposable application tools, depotted products, and alcohol-cleaned palettes as a primary responsibility.

Heather has worked with skilled wedding, headshot, boudoir, and fashion photographers in Alberta, gaining diverse experience. Her beauty artistry has appeared in Coffetti Wedding Magazine, ELEGANT Magazine, and VIGOUR Magazine, and on a billboard in the Philippines for House of Musa International. She has also received extensive training from renowned brands like Smashbox Cosmetics, Dior, Chanel Beauty, and CoverFX.
